Steps
- Place ~800 ml cold demineralised water in a borosilicate beaker.
- Add 40 g NaOH pellets slowly with stirring; cool the solution.
- Transfer to a 1 L volumetric flask when cool; make up to the mark.
- Label with molarity, date, and corrosive hazard.
