Amyl acetate (banana oil odour) is a medium-evaporating ester solvent. Highly flammable – no sparks, good ventilation, PPE. Confirm coating compatibility on a test panel.
Steps
- Work in a ventilated area away from ignition sources.
- Add amyl acetate gradually to the coating/resin while stirring to the target viscosity.
- Apply test panels; allow full solvent flash-off before stacking.
